Otherdeed An otherdeed is the land plot of the otherside meta platform. Each plot is a dynamic non-fungible-token - NFT - on the ethereum blockchain. In this section you are able to see detailled descriptions and statistics of all different traits on your otherdeed.
Sediment There are five sediments that lands are built upon: Biogenic Swamp, Chemical Goo, Rainbow Atmos, Cosmic Dream, and Infinite Expanse. Each sediment have 3 different tiers. Biogenic Swamp and Chemical Goo Plots, were given away for free to Bored Ape Yacht Club (Biogenic Swamp) holders and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (Chemical Goo) Holders.
Sediment Tiers
Environment There are 8 different environment categories in total, each have 4 sub-environments. An exception is the environment "Chaos", where only one sub-environment with the same name exist..
Each sub-environment has 5 different tiers, where 1 is the lowest and 5 is the highest. It is currently unknown which effects those levels have, but as you can see on the images, as higher the level is, the more developed the plot seems to be.
Resource Your Otherdeed can contain from zero to up to four different resources. There is one place in the north, south, west, and east. Each resource has a specific tier, between one and three, where one is the lowest and three is the highest. It will be possible to harvest and use or sell those resources. In total, there are 74 different resources, divided into four categories - Anima (Research) - Ore (Metal) - Shard (Stone) and Root (Wood). Anima and Ore are environment specific, for each environment there is one for each category available.
Artifact Each Otherdeed has the possibility that it contains an artifact. Some artifacts can be crafted, and some can't. In total, there are 74 different artifacts. 9 of them are unique. Artifacts have special secrets. At the moment, we don't know what you can do and what artifacts are.
Expanded: Koda Decoupling and Vessel Claim
In April 2023, Yuga opened up the ability to decouple Kodas and claim otherside vessels. Per Yuga news website:
What is Otherdeed Expanded?
Otherdeed Expanded is your key to unlocking future gameplay experiences and activations, including Otherside: Legends of the Mara. Voyagers can only experience Otherside through using the Otherdeed Expanded dynamic NFTs that can change over time.
The new smart contract will offer Voyagers who choose to burn their original Otherdeed NFT access to Yuga’s new gaming experiences and activations outside of Otherside (the game). Two key components of Legends of the Mara are the use of Otherside Koda NFTs and Otherside Vessel NFTs, which will be integral pieces to playing the game. Throughout the course of gameplay, there will be opportunities to earn new entitlements, upgrade existing entitlements, and evolve entitlements earned, which we’ll learn more about closer to the release date of Legends of the Mara.
The Koda Decoupling & Vessel Claim
A cosmic anomaly is shaking up our universe, presenting Voyagers new opportunities to explore Otherside. But Voyagers must prepare for this journey. The Koda Decoupling is happening this week and will be open indefinitely. To access the Koda Decoupling website, visit lotm.otherside.xyz
All Voyagers can participate in the decoupling by claiming a Vessel, not just Koda holders. To access the Vessel Claim website, visit lotm.otherside.xyz. The Vessel Claim will open later this week and will remain open indefinitely.
By participating in Koda Decoupling or Vessel Claim, your Otherdeed will be burned and will become part of Otherdeed Expanded. The new NFTs will be transferred to your wallet. These new collections are your key to unlocking gameplay experiences through the Otherdeed Expanded.

Will decoupling my Koda affect the IP rights to my Otherdeed Expanded or Koda?
After decoupling, your Otherdeed Expanded NFT will continue to be subject to a personal use license only. This means that you may trade and sell your Otherdeed Expanded NFT, display for personal purposes, use as a digital profile picture, etc., but you may not commercialize your Otherside Expanded NFT (e.g. sell tee shirts with your Otherdeed Expanded art printed on it or make and sell games using the land or features of the land shown on your Otherdeed Expanded).
Your decoupled Koda NFT will generally be subject to a broad commercial license. This means that you may use your Koda NFT for personal purposes and also commercialize your Koda NFT. You should carefully read the Koda NFT license agreement to ensure your understanding of all the rights and obligations relating to ownership of your Koda NFT and usage of Koda art.
